Each January, roughly one in three people resolve to better themselves in some way for the year ahead. Some people take it seriously while others bit it farewell just after the clock strikes twelve. A very small percentage of people actually make good on those resolutions. While about 75% of people stick to their goals for at least a week, less than half (46%) are still on target six months later, a 2002 study found.
It’s definitely not easy to keep up the enthusiasm months after you’ve swept up the confetti, but it’s not impossible.
For us here at Thuru Lodge we would like to be one of the leading lodges in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa in the year 2017. We would like to have our clients be our best marketing tool by word of mouth, but in order to achieve that we need to make sure that each and every client gets the best service and experience that we can possibly offer.
We would like to give more to the local communities in need, whether to help with education, improve living conditions or provide daily necessities.
For us, our new years’ resolutions should not be too drastic, unrealistic or unattainable.
It is our dream that by this time next year, we can truly tell we have made a difference to many peoples life’s around us, have plenty more happy clients all over the world telling about their wonderful experience at Thuru Lodge an even more have a staff corps who are happy for the contribution they have made to see every client enjoying his or her stay at Thuru Lodge.
Furthermore we hope that by the end of 2017, we would be proud to say that we have made a big difference in the conservation of our fauna and flora of our beloved game ranch, although we are so dependent on rain. We truly love our piece of mother earth and would like to show you what a wonderful experience this vast and thankful piece of land can offer!!
